Sigtec Pty Ltd announced today that it signed a multi-million dollar contract with the Royal Automobile Association of SA (RAA) for the design, supply and installation of a new mobile voice and data system. Under the contract, RAA will initially purchase from Sigtec 155 TranscendTM CV2021 mobile computers, T6 Mobile and T6 Gateway applications, an upgrade to RAA’s existing radio infrastructure, and a new secondary voice and data system employing GPRS and CDMA technologies.

“Sigtec was selected as the preferred bidder in late 2005, beating 3 other companies for this prestigious project.” said John Thompson, Sigtec’s CEO. “We are very pleased to have concluded our negotiations and signed RAA as a key customer, given its strong position in roadside assistance and monitoring market in Australia. The T6 software platform to be provided under this contract will allow RAA to leverage its existing radio technology and compliment it with a next generation workforce mobility solutions.”
